Overview
We are beginning our training for our EMR, Therapy Notes. We will have 60 minute sessions to give you an orientation to the platform. The training sessions will be held as a hybrid online/in-person format and will cover the basics of how to manage your patients and notes. This gives you an interactive environment to ask questions and get hands-on experience before using it with your active patients.
Session group numbers
If you have filled out a the EMR survey, you were asked to ask your level of comfort learning new software on a scale of 1-4, (1 being very uncomfortable, and 4 being very comfortable). I have decided to break you into cohorts so we can learn at relatively the same speed. Some classes will be exclusively for people who answer "4" on the survey, and other classes are for those who answer 1 or 2. So in the listing below, if you see listing scheduled for a group number, the number relates to your self-reported comfort level. The same training will be offered multiple times for your group.
Class size and timing
I am limiting the number of people to each training at 10. So if you have a preferred time, please sign up quickly to save your spot.
This is hands-on, so please bring your own laptop, or follow along on your computer from home remotely.
It is important to log in at home before coming to the training. Once you sign up, I will create an account for you and send you your credentials. As soon as you get your credentials, please login, and make sure you can set your new password. If you have trouble logging in, feel free to contact me. Also,30-minutes prior to the training we will have a login lab to help with troubleshooting. Those who cannot login at the start of the session will be invited to observe only. For example, if you sign up for a 1:00 PM training, I will be available starting at 12:30 to help resolve issues. We will not troubleshoot login issues at 12, but I will also stay 30 minutes after the training if anyone wants to further explore Therapy Notes.
What if I can't make ANY dates?
I will be recording one or more of the trainings and providing them to everyone to review in their own time. There are also robust support materials. You are also invited to sign up for an open lab if you have any questions.
Open labs
Once you have attended a training and/or utilized a training video, I invite you to sign up for an Open Lab. Open labs allow anyone of any comfort level to get consult me and get hands-on support. Also, if you missed previous training sessions, some limited orientation will be available.
Further support
After your training, there is support with a comprehensive manual, detailed step-by-step instructions, dedicated support provided by EMR help desk staff, and a network of peer support.
